Please arrive 1 hour prior to your reservation time, both going to and returning from the island
Ferry service may be increased or decreased based on seasonal demand and/or weather conditions
Times are subject to change on all holidays and from October through December -- Call for Details
Closed Thanksgiving Day; and December 24 until the first Monday after New Years Day
The Island is closed to vehicle traffic from December 31 through mid-March every year
The Ferry office will be open from the first Monday after New Years Day through opening day to make reservations by phone or in-person

Important Notes
All vehicles, including ATVs and UTVs, must purchase an ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) permit in advance from this website
ORV Permits will be picked up at the Ranger Station on Cape Lookout [Great Island] upon debarking from the ferry
Vehicles must be registered, licensed, and insured and comply with inspection requirements for the state, country, or province where the vehicle is registered
If renting a UTV, passenger fares are in addition to the UTV rental price.
